6 Month Update!

Today Everly is 6 Months old. I know I say this every month but she really is changing so much! In the last couple of weeks we decided to start her on vegetables. It is a little earlier than the doctor's recommend (they usually say wait until 6 months) but she was showing interest. I am glad we did because she is doing great and she is really finally starting to put on more significant weight (she is now in size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes). So far she has had green beans, peas, squash, avocado, and she will try sweet potato today! We also have been making all of her babyhood ourselves which is actually pretty easy and kind of fun. She has been in like the 5th percentile for weight since she was born, so we are hoping that goes up at her checkup today. She is finally has chunky little things and chubby little cheeks, oh and a little belly too! I have also started mixing her bottles with part breast milk and part formula as I prepare to stop nursing her. I plan on tonight being my last night and so in the past couple of weeks I cut down, and eventually stopped pumping at work. Everly has been doing great with the formula. Also, because I have a good amount frozen, she will continue to get some breast milk through 7 months.

In the past month, Everly has really mastered rolling over from her back to belly and belly to back with ease. Also, she moves all over the place. We will put her down on her play mat and when we look back a minute later she will be a good foot away from where she was and facing a completely different direction. She has also learned to sit up on her own in the past month. She is still a little wobbly, but she is learning to brace her self and she doesn't freak out so much if she falls back.

Everly has had some difficulty sleeping through the night in the past month, so she has been spending a lot of time in our bed. It is hard because we know she sleeps better in our bed, and we want to sleep as well, so sometimes we don't even try to put her in her crib. Hopefully it is just a phase and she grows out of it.

Everly is still super chatty and has started making this "dada" noise. It is so cute. We can pretty much get her to giggle by just laughing at her. She is so silly sometimes and just loves to giggle. I think I mentioned this before but Everly absolutely loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney Junior. Like seriously, when that show is on it commands her attention (and Cameron's as well). So much that we have recorded some shows so we always have them on the DVR. Everly still loves her Activity Center and her feet finally touch the ground in it, as well as in Cameron's and the one at the baby-sitter's. It is nice that she kind of has 3 different ones to play with because then she doesn't get bored with the one we have at home!

Tonight is Everly's last babysplash swim class. It is free from 0-6 months and then they move up into the Little Snapper's classes. We get like 2 classes free I think and then it gets expensive so I don't think we will continue on after that. We love it and so does she, but we have a pool, so we can play with her this summer as it is getting warmer every day! I am sure she will love it!

We can't wait to see how much she progresses in the next month! Hoping for her first tooth to come in!
