Soccer Pictures

I finally got Everly's soccer pictures in. I wasn't going to order any but they were so cute and it is her first year playing competitive soccer so I ended up ordering them. She has really been liking soccer so far this year. She has a tournament coming up next weekend so I am excited to see how well she does. It kind of goes back and forth with her. Sometimes she has really good weeks and other weeks she seems to not get involved much. Although, even when I don't think she is doing that great, she always wants to go to her practices and games. She loves the girls she plays with and that is what is most important at the end of the day, right?

Everly's First Camping Trip

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Justin planned a camping trip for Everly. My brother-in-law and nephew went along as well. They decided to go over to Lake Pleasant because it is close and Teddy is obsessed with fishing. Everly was very excited to go although I acted all sad she was leaving me and she actually cried a little in the car because she was going to miss me. She is so sweet. Other than a little fall while hiking and forgetting to bring plastic utensils, it sounds like they had a lot of fun. Justin sent me a couple of pictures but made a little video of the trip.

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great and long Thanksgiving weekend. It started Wednesday night when we took the girls to go see Coco. It was very cute and not horrible to watch as an adult either. The girls love popcorn and movies so it was a success. On Thursday morning I ran 5 miles with my sisters before we had our Thanksgiving breakfast. After breakfast we headed up to Anthem for the kids 1/2 mile turkey trot. They did great. Ted even fell and got right back up. We got in some park time before heading back home. Thursday evening we went back to my sister's for dinner. My mom cooked the turkey upside down but other than that it was good. After dinner my mom and sister and I went to a couple of stores for some shopping, but nothing crazy. Friday was the real deal. I picked up my sister to start shopping before 5 AM. My mom met us up a little later with Nora. We spent the morning shopping and got a lot of great deals. Saturday morning my sister and I did a 3 mile trail run before taking the kids to the Home Depot workshop. It was a cute Christmas tree ornament project. Later that afternoon Justin and Doug took Everly and Teddy for an overnight camping trip. They had fun and he made a little video so I will post that tomorrow. While they were gone, Aspen and I went to dinner with my mom and sister and picked up some craft supplies at Michael's. We had fun. Sunday we put up the rest of the Christmas decorations before going to my sister's for dinner. It was a good long holiday weekend with lots to be Thankful for!

Aspen's Preschool Pictures

This week we got Aspen's preschool pictures back and I could just die they are so cute. I took her to get them done that day because I was off and I knew they were going to be good. I mean, we practice taking pictures daily so she should be. She is still my tiny girl but she is really looking big here. We missed the picture day last year but HERE are her pictures from two years ago. She is doing really well at daycare. She loves her teachers and never complains about going there. I don't want to jinx it, but I don't think she got sick at all this year either. She knows lots of the kids names at school despite the fact that she is completely happy playing with toys by herself. She is a little weird but we sure do love her.

Zoolights 2017

You know the holiday season is really here when it is finally Zoolights again. Last night we went for member preview night because it is way less busy than the regular nights. Also, member nights include free stingray bay and free carousel rides. You can see our previous years at Zoolights HERE. It is fun to look back at previous years. Arizona is weird. Sometimes it is cold and last night was not one of those nights. The weather was very mild and it is going to be a warm Thanksgiving this year. This year we were also able to go through the Dino trail since we have the season pass. The last time we were at the zoo a couple of weeks ago the kids went on the camel and we realized adults can go too so this time Doug took Cameron on a camel ride. He did great and the other kids were jealous! We did the carousel in the beginning and Justin and Doug took the big kids through sting ray bay at the end. It was a fun night and I still can't believe the holidays are here!
