2 Months Old

Today Everly is 2 months old! I took her for her 2 month checkup and shots this morning. She weighs 9lbs. and 2 oz and is 22 inches long. She did really well with her vaccinations and did not cry that much. One of the vaccinations they give is this oil that they give orally. She loved it. Apparently normally babies spit it out, but she was a pro! I am hoping that this is a sign that she will do really well with solid foods! The doctor said that she looks great and Everly even showed off how strong her neck already is. The past month has been very busy for Everly. She went to the Musical Instrument Museum, had her first trip to the dog park, watched her mom play soccer and also made her first trip to Ikea! She is doing really well at sleeping through the night. As long as she doesn't sleep all day long and we time her feedings right, she will sleep for almost 8 hours at night. She has started to become more interactive as well. She is making little cooing sounds and smiling more and more. She is also beginning to recognize me and my voice a lot more.  We have also discovered that she loves being on her stomach. During the day when she naps at home I let her sleep on her stomach since I am there to watch her. I am also not too worried because she is capable of picking her head up. I only have a few more weeks at home with her before I go back to work so I am really trying to enjoy it. She still tends to be fussy at times, but I think that is pretty normal so we are not too worried about it. Can't wait to see how she progresses in this next month!
