Disneyland Trip 2016: Final Day!

I really couldn't have asked for a better last day at Disneyland and California Adventure. The weather was great. The kids were great and it wasn't too busy. We got to go on a lot of things we hadn't yet and were wanting to including Soarin', The Tower of Terror, and The Matterhorn. My mom and sister got to go on Cars with Everly which is hilarious. We also got to go on Grizzly River Run and Everly loved that! There was also a chunk of time where I had Aspen by myself when everyone else was on rides and it actually was really awesome. We were able to get pictures with a ton of characters. She was really into Judy Hopps from Zootopia and even played peek-a-boo with her.  We also took the kids to see the Disney Junior Live show which they loved. We did a little shopping for some last minute gifts and also picked up the kitchen sink ice cream sundae from Clarabelle's in DCA. It was awesome and everyone kept asking us where we got it from! I am so glad that we were able to make this trip with the girls and also very grateful that my sister-in-law, mom and sister were able to come as well. It would not have been as fun without them. We left the next morning and got back to our house by like 1-ish so it really wasn't too bad. We have no plans for a Disneyland Trip again for probably several years so I am glad it went so well.

Disneyland Trip 2016: Bibbidi Bobbidy Boutique

On top of going to breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen for Everly's Birthday, we had also planned a special makeover for her at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Disneyland. They have several different packages you can choose from and while it is not cheap, it is something we planned for a while and were really excited to treat Everly with. The boutique is right in the center of Sleeping Beauty's castle. We got the cheapest package because she did not need a princess dress and also saved an extra 10% using the Chase Disney Visa debit card so it cost about $50. We had a reservation and still had to wait like 30 minutes after our check-in time but it was not too bad. You can find out more about it HERE. Everly got to pick out her own hairstyle and opted for the Color Star option because she really wanted color streaks in her hair after seeing lots of little girls with it. She must have found the whole process very relaxing because I think she almost fell asleep during it. Other than that, she did really well. Had no problems sitting there or anything. She got her nails painted, hair done, and a little makeup too. It was so cute once she was all done. She got a little birthday sash and little bag with all of her goodies. I am sure she will make me use the makeup on her for Halloween. We let her keep the hair extension in the whole ride home the next day too because she loved them so much. I am so glad we were able to spoil her with this experience!

Weekend in Review: Columbus Day Weekend

Justin and I both had 3 day weekends for Columbus Day weekend. His was Fri-Sun and mine was Sat-Mon. It was a nice way to ease back into work after vacation by having a 3-day weekend. I also have one this weekend too and we have lots planned! Last Saturday Everly had another soccer game. It was pretty hot again unfortunately and we did not get the shady field. She did okay but was obviously worn out and took a two hour nap later that day. On Sunday we decided to take the girls to the zoo. No one else was able to meet us there but we still had a lot of fun. We took the girls down to the Children's Trail to go on the playground and see the petting zoo area. We also got to see the new jaguar exhibit that we didn't even know existed. It was pretty cool and they were actually feeding one of the jaguars a rabbit at the time. The weather was pretty nice in the morning, although it got much warmer later in the day when I had my soccer game. On Monday, Everly had school so I had some along time with Aspen after we dropped her off. I decided to take her to the train park in Scottsdale. It was busy because I think a lot of students had it off but we still had a lot of fun. Aspen did great and the hardest part of the day was getting her to leave. I even got her to ride on the carousel without crying for the first time. It is kind of a fast carousel, too, so I was surprised at how well she did. I love my girl dates with Everly but it is also so nice to get this one on one time with Aspen.

Disneyland Trip 2016: Goofy's Kitchen

Our third day and final day at Disneyland started out with breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. It was Everly's birthday this day so that is why we decided to do it that day. I considered other Character Breakfasts but ultimately decided to go with Goofy's Kitchen again because I like to go early before the park opens and I like the classic characters that you get to see. Also, I like the food! HERE is my post from our last time there. My favorite part is the omelette station but everything is really good. Everly wanted chicken nuggets with her breakfast and I tried a bite and even those were really good. Goofy's kitchen is in the Disneyland Hotel and I would just love to stay there one day! Breakfast is usually the best meal of the day for the girls as far as eating all of their food and eating good choices so they both did really well. I even let Everly eat worms in dirt because it was her birthday! We got pictures with lots of characters. Mae did not like them up close but was fine from a distance. Aspen wasn't quite as spooked as Mae but was definitely not ready for hugs or a picture. Everly did great and they even sung Happy Birthday to her! If you are going to Disneyland I definitely recommend looking into a character breakfast. We love them!
