Christmas at the Princess 2017

This year was our third year attending Christmas at the Princess. This event can get really busy so this year we made it a point to go on a week night. While that is hard to manage with all of the kids school activities and extracurriculars, it was totally worth it. We went on Monday and we could tell immediately as we drove up it was going to be a better experience. Last year I believe we went on a Sunday night and could barely get a parking spot. You can see our previous trips HERE. It has gotten much more expensive than the first year and there are no more "value night" but they have added things so I guess at least you are getting more. We had a lot of fun and I am glad we were able to make time for it again this year!

Christmas at the Princess

Last Sunday night we headed over to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for their Christmas at the Princess event. Last year (here) was our first year attending this and we really liked it so we decided to go again this year. It was a bit busier so I think we will go in the middle of the week next year but the kids still had a blast. It was totally not nearly as cold as it was last year either. I don't know what is going on this year but it has not been nearly as cold this year. We also learned from last year and brought our own s'mores stuff because it is overpriced there and it wasn't even that good. They do a little show every hour and project it against the hotel and that was also a little better last year but it was still cute. The train was really fun for the kids again this year and the driver even went kind of crazy fast at one point and the kids loved it. They also had a section to write letters to Santa and put it in a giant mailbox. I don't remember it being there last year, but the kids loved it. It was a great night!

Christmas at the Princess

Sunday night my sister invited us to tag along with her and visit Christmas at the Princess. We had never been before and I am so glad we went. First, it normally costs $30 to park to get in but we went on a value night which has half off parking, santa photos, and ice skate rentals. So we paid $15 to get in which is not bad at all. They have lots of lights around the resort and some fun characters as well including a princess that Everly wanted nothing to do with. The resort is decorated beautifully for Christmas. The train ride, carousel, and petting zoo are also free and they have a cute little "Enchanted Plaza." You can pay for a smores kit to use at one of the fire pits as well as ice skate rentals. They also have drinks available for purchase and a cute gift shop. I love this time of year and I love taking the kids to fun stuff like this. We will definitely be coming back again next year. If you get a chance to go they have two more value nights, tonight and next Monday.
