Board & Brush

My sister had been out of town on her actual birthday so we had a delayed celebration last weekend with a lunch and girls day out at Board & Brush. We had been wanting to go here for a while and after seeing a really good black Friday deal it seemed like the perfect time to go. We made the small sign but it is still a really good size (12x16 or 6x24). We also all did holiday signs but you could have done anything. The instructors are very helpful and it is really fun. They provide everything you need to make a custom sign for yourself. We had done a day workshop but if you do one after 4 you can even bring your own drinks in. I think our signs turned out really cute and it was a fun afternoon.

Family Fun Night- Grinch Night

Everly's school's PTA was hosting a family fun night last Friday night. It was Grinch themed and Aspen has been super obsessed with the Grinch lately so we decided to go for a little bit. The girls had a lot of fun. Everly loves seeing her friends and her teacher and Aspen loves doing anything Evelry does. They made some really cute Grinch ornaments, played some games, decorated a box and Christmas trees and also decorated some cupcakes which they inhaled. We probably only spent an hour their total but it was a lot of fun and I am glad we went. I am not going to lie, sometimes stuff like this is kind of the last thing I want to do, but I know how much the girls love it so I guess that is being a parent, right? Also, how cute are these girls? Can't say no to them ever!

Friday Zoo Day

On Friday, I had the day off from work and Everly had no school for Veteran's Day so we headed to the zoo with my sister and the kids. It was a busy day to be at the zoo but thankfully we got there before it opens to non-members. The zoo is still slightly under construction but it is much better. We also upgraded our passes so we can see the Dinos in the Desert anytime through April. We checked out the Dinos first and then headed to the lions, hyenas, baboons and wild African dogs. On our way to the farm playground we were walking by the camels and Aspen (who is normally scared of all the things) decided she wanted to ride the camel. So I decided to roll with it. Teddy, Aspen and Everly all went for a ride together. She seriously never hesitated and did so well. Teddy was totally smashed in between the girls but they had a good time. We hit up the playground after and then the carousel on the way out. Aspen insisted on the giraffe that doesn't even move but she was happy. It was a good morning and I think 3/5 kids fell asleep on the way home so success!

Wedding Fun!

Last weekend Justin's sister got married and we had a really fun night at her wedding. The weather was perfect and it was really nice to be around so much family. The girls had a blast dancing the night away. They both can be pretty shy at first and Aspen definitely is but they were the queens of the dance floor. They were also the only kids there so they kind of stood out. Dinner was good and we really had a fun night.

Family Photos: Sisters

Last month we headed up to Flagstaff for a quick evening trip to take family photos. We did this last year while up there for one of my sister's soccer game and when Julia Romano Photography posted about a summer special we decided to get our annual family photos in a little early. I loved our pictures from last year (HERE) and so was very excited to update them. While it was still very hot in Phoenix, the weather was absolutely perfect up in Flagstaff. The girls actually did pretty good. Aspen definitely did better than last year. We also made sure we had some snacks to bribe her with. It is kinda crazy to think that Julia got so many good pictures in less than 30 minutes. It was soo fast and we got everything we wanted. There are too many good pictures for one post so I am going to start with pictures of both the girls together and with each of us. Get ready to die.
