Schnepf Farms Pumpkin & Chili Party 2017

Last Thursday night Justin met me downtown after work and then we drove out to Queen Creek to go to Schnepf Farms for their annual Pumpkin and Chili party. If you go on Thursday nights its half price so we like to take advantage of that. It was a little busy but the weather was perfect. I just wish it wasn't soooo far away. The girls has a blast on the carousel, bumble bee ride, and airplane ride. They also loved bouncing on the big bubble and watching the pig races. We ended the night with a hayride and the girls loved it. Thankfully I didn't have to work the next day because by the time we got home it was like 10:30...way past all of our bedtimes! It's still one of my favorite fall events to attend each year. (Previous Years HERE)

Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party 2016

Last Thursday night we went out to Schnepf Farms for their Pumpkin and Chili Party for the 3rd year in a row. Here is my post from last YEAR and 2 YEARS ago. It is a long drive for us but I think it is worth it. I thought that it would be nicer to get there a little earlier in the evening than we usually do but it actually wasn't. It was still warm and there were a ton of bees out! I hate bees so I was freaking out but they totally went away when the sun went down. Thank god! The kids loved going on the rides and even got to see the pig races. They toasted some marshmallows and rode on the hay ride. Before leaving we had to check out the pumpkin patch and take one home to carve. We actually just carved it last night because in the past we have carved them too early and they get all sunken in from the AZ heat. We were definitely tired and hungry by the end of the night but it was a good trip and once again, I am glad we went. Also, to save money we go on Thursday nights when the admission is half price so that helps a ton!

Schenpf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Festival 2015

Last Thursday night we made the very far trip out to Schenpf Farms to attend the Pumpkin and Chili festival. We have been to the peach festival before (here) and did the pumpkin festival last year (here) and really liked it so we decided to go again. You can get 2 for 1 admission on Thursdays in October and I had already taken the day off so that is why we chose Thursday. I always dread driving out there (thankfully my sister drove), but once again I am really glad we went. The kids are bigger and were able to go on more rides this year so it was a lot of fun. We hit up the carousel, watched the pig races, rode ponies, jumped on the big bubble/pillow, got faces painted, rode the bumblebees, rode the airplanes, rode the swings, went on a hayride and roasted marshmallows. We also picked out a couple of pumpkins and, of course, had some more funnel cake! We did a lot and there were still a bunch of activities we opted out of like the corn maze, roller coaster, and train ride. We had a great time and just wish it wasn't so far!

Schnepf Farms Pumpkin and Chili Party

Last Thursday my sister asked if I wanted to head out to the fall festival at Schenpf Farms with her. To be honest, at first I didn't want to. It is soooo far from us, but she offered to drive so I decided to go since I knew Everly would have fun. We also picked up my mom at work on the way to help us out because 4 kids is a lot to handle with just the two of us, especially when one is still nursing. It ended up being a really great night. At first I was worried about mosquitos but it didn't end up being too bad. Everly and Teddy got their faces painted for the first time! The three older kids went on a hayride while I was nursing and then we all went on the carousel. After the carousel Teddy and Ev went on a pony ride. We were all kind of shocked that neither of them were scared and actually had fun. It was really cute and Everly kept saying yee haw! After pony rides we went to my sister's favorite part, the giant jumping bubble. I swear she likes jumping on it more than the kids do. We enjoyed some funnel cake and toasted marshmallows and Everly picked out a little pumpkin before we left. We were all super tired by the time we finally got home but it is always worth it if the kids have fun, right?!?

Mothers Day 2014

We had originally planned to have a little family breakfast at a new to us restaurant for Mother's Day, but when I realized the Schnepf Farms Peach Festival was also going on, we changed up our plans and decided to head there instead with my sister and her family. I had never been before and had been wanting to go. It is about an hour from us so it is no small trip. We packed up the car early and got to the farm before 8:00 a.m. There was already a line for the Peachy Pancake Breakfast so we decided to go pick some peaches before eating pancakes. We took a little hayride out to the orchards and all 3 kids actually did really great picking peaches and putting them in our box. Teddy was a monster peach eater. He had it all over his face. Everly actually liked it too. I am not a huge peach fan, but they were really good peaches. After we picked peaches we headed back and the kids took a little train ride while I saved our spot in line for breakfast. They pancakes were insane. The pictures don't do it justice. They were bigger in real life. After we ate the kids went on a carousel, checked out some animals, and did some bouncing on a giant air bubble thing (Kim's favorite part). It wasn't too hot out and the kids had a blast which is basically all I wanted for Mother's Day. I love being able to take Everly to do fun things and see new places. We got some pretty awesome pictures too...
