Touch-A-Truck 2017

Last week we went to Touch-A-Truck again. This was our 4th year going to the event and you can see our past trips HERE. It was warm again this year but we made it a quick trip and still had some fun. There was a really cute miniature UPS truck there this year which I don't remember ever seeing before. I wanted to take it home. Both girls did really well. They both went down the blow up slides and on one of them Everly was so nice helping Aspen get up. My girls are pretty girly in all things but they sure had fun at that truck event. This event has been getting busier and busier each year but it's free so we can't really complain!

Touch-A-Truck 2016

Last Saturday we went to Touch-a Truck for the 3rd year in a row. It was our 3rd year in a row going and probably the hottest yet. Zero shade and I felt like my skin was melting. If we were in the shade it would have been fine but that direct sunlight was too much. Luckily we only spent about an hour there and that was enough for the kids to have a blast. Last year it was raining for a little with even some lightning so I guess we can't complain too much. This year the kids got to sit in a helicopter which I don't recall ever being there before. The diggers are always a hit and Aspen liked the baby section with toy cars. Ev was able to even get in some bounce house time before we had to leave for her game. Here is a little video and some pictures:

Touch-A-Truck 2015

Last Saturday we attended Touch-A-Truck out at the Westgate parking lot for the second year in a row. It is a FREE event put on by City of Glendale Parks and Rec. I think it is a really cool and fun event. Here is my post from our first time attending last year. What kind of kid doesn't like climbing up on trucks and honking the horn? The kids loved the little swag that lots of the truck companies were giving out. Everly is obsessed with a CEMEX calculator she got and Teddy with that whistle! I wanted to throw it far away but he wouldn't let it out of his sight. Aspen wanted to walk everywhere which is great except for the part where she is slow because she is soooo tiny. We also got caught in a little rain but it wasn't too bad and the fact that it wasn't hot is a win for us. The kids had fun (despite Everly having an un-diagnosed ear infection) and we worked up an appetite so we stopped for Freddy's on the way home. Freddy's is always a good choice and Aspen ate an entire hot dog! Little piggy! Also, I must say that all of the vendors and people helping with this event are always so nice and helpful. Kids can be a lot sometimes and they have always been so patient and generous.

Touch A Truck

Last Saturday morning we headed to south Glendale just outside the Cardinals Stadium to attend a free event called Touch a Truck. My sister had heard about it and my nephew is obsessed with trucks so she invited us to go. It was put on by the Empire Cat company and the City of Glendale and it was pretty awesome. It was all setup in the parking lot and there were lots of different types of trucks there. Everly loved sitting in them and honking the horns. She also loved pressing all of the buttons and switches in the cars. There were lots of horns being honked constantly but they spaced everything out in the parking lot so there were definitely areas that were less loud. They also had free ear plugs. The area with the construction trucks had dirt for the kids to practice digging and Everly liked that a lot as well. Teddy loved seeing the garbage truck or as he calls it "yuck truck." Cameron loved sitting on the city bus and we think it was because it was air conditioned...smart boy. I don't know who came up with this, but it was great and everyone working there was super nice. Days like this make me glad we live in a big city with such cool free events!
