Shamrock Farms Tour

This past weekend we did the Easter Egg Hunt and Farm Tour our at Shamrock Farms. It has been 3 years since we did this and I really thought Aspen would have fun since she is older now so I wanted to do it. Here are a couple of our previous trips out to Shamrock Farms. It was a long drive out to Maricopa but we made good time and got out there early enough for the kids to get their faces painted and play some games. Besides Aspen freaking out and panicking at the Easter Bunny (who was creepy tbh) the kids did really well during the tour. They were funny and all plugging their noses because of the smell. They got lots of fun prizes during the Easter egg hunt portion and then after the tour was over we stayed to eat lunch and have some Shamrock Farms ice cream. It was a fun morning and I am really glad we made it out there this year!

Shamrock Farms Easter Egg Hunt

This past Sunday we made the trip out to Shamrock Farms for a tour and Easter egg hunt. This is our second time attending this event and we like it a lot. It is a really far drive for us (80 minutes) so the fact that we would willing drive for this is proof that it is fun. Here is a post from our trip last year. It is great because the kids learn about the animals and get to experience a farm, but they also get to enjoy an egg hunt as well. All the kids are guaranteed to get eggs also which is nice when there are older kids around. Last year I was pregnant with Aspen, too so it was fun to take her for her first time. She was such a good little baby...as always. All of the kids did great picking up eggs and Teddy actually tried to cheat and start early, haha. The kids also were a lot more enthusiastic about feeding the calves during that part of the tour. I think Everly was much more timid last year. Teddy even got a lick on the head from one of them when Doug wasn't looking. Teddy and Everly also could not pass up a chance to get their faces painted and the lady who did it was awesome. We wanted them to get cows but Teddy picked a tractor and Everly picked a sparkly rainbow...toddlers! It was a great morning and we also got to see a calf being born, too !

Shamrock Farms Easter Egg Hunt

Last Sunday we made the drive to visit Shamrock Farms for an Easter Egg Hunt. Last time we went to the farm was in December for a Santa Visit (here). When we first got there the kids got to play a few games before we headed out on the tour. While we were viewing the cows being milked the tour staff placed out eggs on the playground for all of the kids. It was really well planned because each kid was only allowed to get 10 eggs. This is great since we have little ones that aren't as fast as the older kids. They also gave them this little trick ice cream cone as a prize and she loved that. She actually broke it this morning...but I think we can fix it. After the tour we tried to sneak in a quick picture with the Easter bunny. It wasn't great, but better than Santa. Everly also got a balloon animal kitty and everyone got chocolate milk to drink while opening their eggs. Considering the tour costs $9 a person and it is a whole morning of fun activities, I would say it is totally worth the drive! I am sure we will be back!
