Christmas Day 2017

Christmas Day we woke up and let the girls open up their presents from Santa. Aspen is still at that age where she is so excited by the first present she could care less about the rest, but it was fun. After that two of Justin's sisters and his niece came over. We had a delicious breakfast with lots of mimosas. I love just hanging out and catching up with everyone on Christmas morning. After that, we laid low until heading over to my sister's house for Christmas dinner. We had our usual honey baked ham and it was a good night. The kids played and we face timed with Mae in Nebraska. It was a good night and we ended with a game of bezzerwizzer which took me entirely too long to remember how to play. I also just finally got back the girl's Santa pictures so I figured this is the best time to share them!

I inherited this nativity that my Grandma hand painted and Everly made a cross out of wrapping paper for it.

Aspen was not into this but we convinced her to hold Ev's hand and just take a picture.

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone has an amazing Christmas Day! We will be opening lots of presents and eating lots of food. Thought this would be a great time to share the girls Santa pictures from last weekend. We went with free pictures this year because Aspen HATES Santa. Well, okay I just looked back at pictures from the past 2 years (2015 and 2014) and this was clearly the worst year yet. I don't know how she wasn't crying in the picture from last year, but she wasn't. Everly told Santa that she wants a beach ball (to go with her bathing suit). These two girls! Poor little Aspen and Everly looking perfect! Merry Christmas!

Santa Pictures 2015

Last night we took a quick trip to the mall to take pictures with Santa. My mom had to go to get a few things so she met us there with the boys and my sister came when she got off work. I made a reservation with Santa online through Arrowhead Mall and while we still had to wait a little, it did help. It was super easy, too so I recommend it. Everly was pretty excited to see Santa this year. She wrote her name on a letter to him while we waited in line and then told him what she wanted. Teddy was really great about talking to Santa too and Cam was just chill. Aspen cried immediately but stopped for a second when we moved her next to Everly. She looks sad in the picture but it is not as bad as Everly's from 2012 (here). I still love our picture from last year and I just noticed it is the exact same santa (here). Aspen definitely looks sad in the picture but it is not too bad! One more week until Christmas!

Santa Pictures

This past weekend we set out to get pictures with Santa as Christmas is only a week away and my sister is due TODAY with her second baby! We knew this was our last chance so we headed to Paradise Valley Mall (not going there again next year). Oddly, there was no line to take your picture with Santa, but a large line to pay for the picture. We probably could have gotten a decent picture if the guy would have taken it right away but who knows what he was doing. Well, 30 seconds later Everly starts crying and wants nothing to do with Santa. Cameron just got happier and happier and was laughing and clapping. Joy. Also, after we got to the front of the long line to pay this rude cashier asked which one we wanted printed. I picked the last one becuase she wasn't crying and she gave me this disgusted look and said, "You want that one? She is not even looking at the camera." Seriously lady, WHO ARE YOU? I was like, um its the only one she is not crying in, so yea, I want that one. Way to kill the Christmas Spirit lady.

Here are the pictures:
