We got back yesterday from our trip to Disneyland. It was a lot of fun but it feels good to be back home. Definitely plan on catching up on some sleep this weekend and rest. I workout regularly, but walking around Disneyland for 3 days is exhausting! We drove out last Sunday and when we got into California we headed to get lunch and take the girls to the beach. We decided to go to Huntington Beach because it was close to our hotel and close to a taco place we wanted to try. We picked up our fish tacos and ate them while the girls played at a playground close to the beach. They had a ton of fun and Aspen was surprising us with how fearless she was on the big slides. The weather was great that day as well. We didn't spend a ton of time on the beach but enough for the girls to splash around a little in the waves. Everly had a lot of fun. Aspen wasn't super into the sand or the cold water but she didn't totally freak out so I guess it could have been worse. It was a good way for the girls to get out some energy after the 5 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix to Anaheim.

Norris Family Reunion: Water Fun!
While up at Lake George for the family reunion we got in lots of water time. We actually got a decent amount of rain while we were there which maybe bummed other people out but us Arizonans love any rain we can get so it didn't bother me. The kids did a little swimming at the pool at the cottages which was convenient. Our family rented a boat for our time there that we all shared so we could take it out on the lake and go fishing. Also, we almost found out the hard way that you need fishing license to fish on Lake George. Tony talked us out of a ticket, thankfully. I don't fish but I had fun out on the boat exploring the lake. Some of the family also went out to Million Dollar Beach with the kids to let them swim and play in the sand. We obviously don't get a lot of beach time in Arizona so that was good for the kids. It was a really pretty lake and much bigger than Keuka is so I am really glad we got to experience that.

St. Simons Island Vacation Part 5: The Beach!
The last part of our vacation I wanted to share was our trips to the beach. The sky was overcast both days that we went to the beach but it was perfect. It kept the direct sunlight out, but the water was still super warm! We were not concerned about Everly loving it. She loves the pool and bath time so we knew she would love the beach and we were correct. She also enjoyed the sand (and tried to eat it). She loved having the waves hit her and I think she liked the salt water too. The beach was not too crowded at all and we loved seeing how much she enjoyed it. We cannot wait until our next vacation and the next time we get to take her to the beach!
