Happy Birthday Roi!

 

This past weekend our baby beagle Roi turned 6! He's a crazy little beagle but we love him. He is actually pretty calm compared to Minnie but that doesn't say too much. He really is a good dog for the most part. Understandably, he gets less attention now that we have two kids but thankfully he at least has a big yard to play in now. I try to give him some attention and belly rubs because I feel bad about that but then I catch him on top of the kitchen table licking up scraps and I feel less bad. He is a little chunky and mostly lazy but we love our chocolate brownie! Happy Birthday Roi!

The DP

This morning we took a visit to what we call the DP. It stands for Dog Park but we can't say that in our house now because our dogs get psycho excited when they hear those words. My brother-in-law met us up with their dog Herbie. It is worth the trip for us because our dogs LOVE it. They get all of their energy out and we love that.

New Discoveries

Just this past week it seems that Everly has evolved so much! First of all, she has discovered her voice. Over a month ago we first heard her squeak, but this past week she has really perfected it. She has this high pitched bird squeak and she just lays around making this noise all of the time now. We will wake up to it on the baby monitor sometimes. It is sooo funny and she is so happy doing it! Here is a video of her from earlier this week...make sure you have your sound on!




Everly has also discovered her dogs this past week. Until just the other day she never really paid any attention to them, but now she is reaching for them. It is so cute. They are mostly good, but sometimes they lick a little too much. Here is a cute pic of her petting Roi the beagle. (Notice skinny Minnie on her dog beg off to the side...what a honey badger!)

Kitty Love Friday

Justin and I have noticed that Oscar's habits and routines have changed. There are things that he used to do all of the time that he never does anymore and there are things that he does now that he never did before. It is really funny. One of the things he used to do is jump on top of our kitchen cabinets. He did this in our apartment before we bought our house and then he did it in the house too. It would be funny because we would get home and we couldn't find him and it was because he was on top of the cabinets. He doesn't do it anymore and we think it is because he is getting older and he doesn't jump as much anymore. It could just be laziness too! Anyways, here is a video of him doing it from over a year ago. You also get a glimpse of a younger version of our beagle Roi who just doesn't understand how the cat got up there!
