Halloween 2016: Trick-or-Treating

We had a great night Trick-or-Treating last night. We did it in our neighborhood again and my sisters and Justin's sister came over to join us. I think we have a decent amount of houses that participate so it turns out pretty well. A lot of people sit out in their driveways which always makes things easier. The little ones didn't even get really scared at any of the more decorated houses. They loved getting the candy and Mae basically had a piece of candy in her mouth the whole time. I don't think Aspen ate any candy but she thought it was cool. Everly had a couple pieces after we were done because she ate all of her dinner really well. Halloween on a school night can be tough but we were done well before 9 p.m. and the girls weren't too bad this morning. Time to get ready for Thanksgiving now!

Halloween Video

I finally got around to compiling the footage from Halloween. Obviously most of the events were at night in the dark and the go pro does not capture that well, but I think we still got some moments. I combined Friday and Saturday into one cute little video:

Trick or Treating 2015

We did trick or treating at our house again this year. We have a pretty good turnout in our neighborhood and there are several houses that decorate pretty good and get into it so it works well. Most people sit out in their driveway and there were even a couple of cul de sacs where all the homes set up some tables and have a fire pit. Teddy was hilarious and kept saying "Trick or Treater" when he went up to doors. He also randomly told someone that he didn't bring his blanky. That kid is crazy. Aspen and Cameron rode in the wagon for most of the time and were completely content. Remi got in on the action too and Everly wanted to end early so she could go eat her dinner and then eat some m&m's. I didn't get many pictures while we were out but we did get a couple of group shots before which is always hard to do. Can't believe we are already past Halloween!!!

Norterra Spooktacular

Last Friday night we raced home from work to make it to the Spooktacular event at Norterra shopping center. I had never been before so I didn't know what to expect. They have car shows regularly on their "main street" so the event was combined with that and Trunk-or-treating. There were several shops giving out candy and some of the car owners, too. First, if we do decide to attend this again, we will definitely be getting there much earlier. It got insanely packed and was almost impossible to find a parking spot. They also started running out of candy, which is lame. If you decide to go I would get there at like 5:30 and leave at 6:30. The reason we did it was because my mom bought the kids nicer costumes from the Disney Store so we wanted to take full advantage of them and get as much use as possible. So for that reason, the event was good because the kids got to use their costumes. They look so adorable in them, too. We have a couple of events next weekend for them to get some more use out of those costumes!
