Weekend in Review

This past weekend went by really fast and I have a feeling this week is going to go by just as fast. Friday night I had a soccer game and then got up early morning to go for a 10k run. I went early so Justin could go for a ride after me and still have time to make it to Everly's soccer game but I had to call him back early from his ride because Everly woke up with an ear infection after being sick most of the week. He did still get in 14 miles but we headed over to my sister's and she gave her some oils since no where was opened yet. She also had some ibuprofen and I think that helped with her discomfort. She said she wanted to go to her soccer game and was feeling better but she really didn't play well. We got her into a clinic after her game and got her a prescription for the infection and she is doing much better. Saturday night my siblings came over and we celebrated Justin's 34th birthday with pizza and cake. On Sunday I had a soccer game and then after I got home we took the girls over to my sister's house so we could go to dinner with Justin's family for his birthday. He wanted to go to Camp Social which was very cute and fun. It was good to see his family since we don't do Thanksgiving with them. We will, however, be hosting everyone for Christmas breakfast this year so that will be fun. I sure do love this time of year!

Weekend in Review

Last weekend was a nice long holiday weekend. On Saturday I had a couple of soccer games for a tournament I was in and Justin had to work so the girls went over to hang out with my mom and sister. They had a blast and fell asleep in the car. They also came home with an annoying trolls microphone toy. Thanks Grandma. On Sunday the girls came out to my soccer game. I don't think they watched one bit of it, but dang it they are so cute. Sunday night we had to last minute finish up Everly's disguised turkey project. Thanks to the idea from Pinterest, we decided to go with an Easter Bunny disguise. I had just bought a brand new bag of cotton balls too so it worked out good. It ended up being really cute and took very little time. Sunday night my sister and mom came over for tacos to end the weekend (although I had Monday off with Aspen as well).  Next week is about to get nuts with Justin's birthday on the 18th, our anniversary on the 20th and then Thanksgiving on the 23rd.
Gotta love the holidays!

Friday Zoo Day

On Friday, I had the day off from work and Everly had no school for Veteran's Day so we headed to the zoo with my sister and the kids. It was a busy day to be at the zoo but thankfully we got there before it opens to non-members. The zoo is still slightly under construction but it is much better. We also upgraded our passes so we can see the Dinos in the Desert anytime through April. We checked out the Dinos first and then headed to the lions, hyenas, baboons and wild African dogs. On our way to the farm playground we were walking by the camels and Aspen (who is normally scared of all the things) decided she wanted to ride the camel. So I decided to roll with it. Teddy, Aspen and Everly all went for a ride together. She seriously never hesitated and did so well. Teddy was totally smashed in between the girls but they had a good time. We hit up the playground after and then the carousel on the way out. Aspen insisted on the giraffe that doesn't even move but she was happy. It was a good morning and I think 3/5 kids fell asleep on the way home so success!

Sephora Play: November 2017

I got my Play box very early this month. I barely broke into my box from last month! The theme for this month's box was survival of the chillest and it seems like they are a lot of pampering type of items. The fragrance sample for this month is My Burberry Blush which  is in the floral family. I used to almost never wear florals but I have started wearing them more as daytime/work scents so I am excited to try this. This box also came with a moroccan oil hair treatment which I love to bring with me when I am traveling. Also, a travel size Origins Clear Improvements Charcoal mask which is awesome. I have it but can totally re-gift this. I am excited to try the Marc Jacobs mascara and I have a feeling I am going to like the Caudalie eye cream. These sample eye creams area also awesome to travel with and they last forever because you don't use very much. I broke into the Ultra Shine Lip Gel and I really liked it. It is a very flattering nude color and it is not sticky like a gloss. I have recently become obsessed with lip oils and this seems to be right in between a lip oil and a gloss. Can't wait to see what fun holiday items we get next month!

Weekend in Review

Last weekend was a doozy! Justin left Thursday to run Ragnar and wasn't back until Saturday afternoon. Friday night I took the girls to my soccer game with me and they did great. Saturday morning we hit up the Home Depot Workshop before heading to Everly's soccer game. She did pretty good but they tied. Saturday afternoon I took the girls to my sister-in-laws baby shower. Justin's brother and his wife are having their fist baby (a boy!) and we were so happy to go celebrate her. The girls had fun chasing a dog and playing and we can't wait to meet baby Lincoln. After the baby shower I took the girls home and met my girlfriends to see Bad Moms Christmas. It was really funny and I am glad to have them all as friends. Sunday morning I woke up early for my 4th half marathon. I picked up my sister and we headed downtown. The weather was great and my sister ran it crazy fast. I did not, but I did it and I'm not hurt and it is pretty cool what my body can do. My nephew was also running the 1-mile race but I couldn't stay and watch because I had to go straight to my soccer games. I had a double header which is just nuts after a 13 mile run. I burned like 3,000 calories that day. It was and exhausting day and I definitely earned my pizza that night. Glad that I am done with my half training!
