Last Friday I had the day off so after we dropped Everly off at school, Aspen and I headed to the Zoo. We lucked out and it was not hot at all. I love love love getting to spend some one on one time with Aspen. She really cracks me up. She is just so dang cute. It was a little bit busy that Friday because we didn't get there early and there were field trips but it wasn't anything overwhelming or anything. We first stopped by to see the giraffes because that is who she always talks about. After the giraffes we saw the foxes, lions and hyenas. Also, it was my first time getting to see the new Rhino and it was out and moving around. We saw the baboons, African wild dogs, cheetah's, camels and the new zebra exhibit. It looks the same though, so I don't know what they did. We also walked through the bird cages and the last time Aspen was kind of scared of them but this time I had to keep her from going behind the ropes to chase the birds. It was cute. We had to hit up the splash pad before we left. It was not even that warm but she still had a lot of fun. I basically had to bribe her with a pouch to even get her to leave. On the way out I let her pick out a plush giraffe and a little gift for her sister, too. It was a great morning. She fell asleep on the drive home and didn't even wake up for lunch!
